Scan

In the Scan tab you have the option to scan your printed labels. It is irrelevant whether the labels already contain further information. Unknown labels can also be provided with information here.

Allow camera access #

To scan, the app first needs access to your device’s camera. The first time you open a scanner, a message opens asking you to allow camera access. Here select the OK button.

You can revoke your permission or grant permission again at any time in the data protection settings in the “Settings” app.

Light #

The camera needs light to scan. If you are in a dark environment, you can use the Flashlight button (light bulb icon) to turn on your device’s flashlight.

Scan mode #

The scanner offers different modes. You can switch between normal and continuous mode using the toggle button Continuous Scanning in the top right corner of the screen.

Normal mode #

In normal mode, a view with the label details opens as soon as a label is detected. If no information is yet stored for a label, a dialog for creating a new label opens.

Continuous mode #

However, in continuous mode, the label details are not opened automatically. Instead, the stored content is played back. You can immediately scan the next label. Double-tap to open the details.
